Thematics

  • An introduction to the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress Safety System) according to the IYT (International Yacht Training) theme.
 
  • NAVTEX, SART, EPIRB, AIS, INMARSAT and COSPASS-SARSAT systems and their operation.
 
  • Routine, Safety, Urgency and Distress messages sending practices in pairs.
 
  • Sending, acknowledging and analysing messages with real VHF DSC radios in pairs
 
  • Written and practical exam at the end of the day.

Who we recommend

  • For those who do not have a valid VHF-SRC radio qualification for area A1.
 
  • For those who are preparing to take the Class III recreational boating licence according to the KAV.(Note: One of the requirements for passing the KAV exam is a VHF-SRC radio qualification).
 
  • For those whose ROC or SRC exam has expired.
 
  • For those who have a Croatian "B" and/or "C" exam but want to learn to operate the radio in real life.
 
  • For those who find English challenging but want to learn "radio English" 
 

Important information

 The courses will be held in Diósd (2049 Diósd, Tücsök utca 15).

 
  • To receive a certificate of successful completion of the exam, you must register on the IYT online platform,which you can find a detailed description of HERE .  
 
  • If you have received your 6 character code, please email it to me as soon as possible so that I know everything is fine with your registration.
 
  • Only persons over the age of 18 can take part in the course.

 

  • Communication skills in English are required.
  • The training starts with a minimum of 2 applicants. If a course is cancelled, students who have already applied will be notified and further opportunities will be discussed.
 
  • The price of the training is per person.

What is included in the training fee?

  • The opportunity to participate in the course.
 
  • Exam fee.
 
  • The teaching notes you will receive during the training.
  

What is NOT included in the training fee?

 
  • Production of your VHF radio card in Canada (card format).
 
  • Postage of the certificate to the address you provide, i.e. the cost of postage.

  • If you can, get the following textbook. Csaba Horváth "Rádiózás a tengeren".

In this case, the student will be transferred to another course (preferably the nearest one).

You can attend another course as an observer free of charge if the maximum number of participants is not reached. Then you can attempt the exam 1 time for free on the course you attended as an observer.

Immediately. I will issue you a temporary certificate which will be valid until you receive your card format certificate (which is about 6 weeks).

Yes.

On the IYT website, validity can be extended for another 5 years online, at a cost. No need to retake the exam. The conditions for this can be found on the IYT website.

Mandatory. If the boat is equipped with radio equipment.
